Army Squeaks by Georgetown

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Army came back from a three goal fourth quarter deficit to defeat Georgetown in overtime by a score of 16-15. After trailing briefly in the first quarter, the Hoyas led throughout, taking a three goal lead on three separate occasions. Each time, however, the Black Knights closed the gap, finally tying the game at fourteen apiece on a goal by Lawrence Park with just nine seconds remaining in regulation.

Albert Won scored his team leading sixth goal of the game to give the Hoyas a 15-14 lead in the first overtime period. The lead was shortlived as Joey Salgado tied the game for Army just thirteen seconds later. In the second overtime frame Salgado scored the game winner on a four-meter penalty shot. The goal was his ninth of the game, tops on the Army team.

The victory gave Army a tie for thirteenth place at the National Collegiate Club Championship.
