SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Grand Valley State overcame the disappointment of a loss earlier in the day to down the United States Military Academy 14-11. The Lakers led throughout, but had to sweat out a tough fourth quarter that saw Army close the gap to a single goal at one point. GVSU finished strong, scoring the game's final two goals to secure the victory.

Tim Patterson and JR VanderWall led the Lakers on offense with four goals apiece. Joey Salgado and Brian Chen led the Cadets with three goals each. Grand Valley State will play Florida on Saturday while Army with meet Georgetown.
